Why Do a Maternity Photoshoot?
Congratulations on your pregnancy! This is such an exciting and fleeting time. My goal is to capture the anticipation, joy, and beauty of this season in your life. Your maternity shoot will be relaxed, fun, and filled with gorgeous memories.
Sessions can take place in my studio in Gillitts/Winston Park or at a nearby outdoor location. For those who love the ocean, I also offer beach sessions.
I provide a curated wardrobe of gowns and flowing fabrics for you to use during your session, designed to flatter and bring out that radiant mommy-to-be glow.
The Logistics of a Maternity Photoshoot
The ideal time for your maternity session is between 32–36 weeks, depending on how comfortable you’re feeling.
Beach Maternity Shoots
Beach sessions are best captured at sunrise, when the light is soft and golden and the shores are peaceful.
- Best months for sunrise sessions: mid-April to mid-August
- Afternoon beach sessions: available any time of the year

Booking & Payments
A R1 500 deposit is required to secure your booking.
If you choose a Maternity & Newborn Bundle, the remaining balance can be split into two payments—one before your maternity session, and the other before your newborn session.
Scheduling Your Newborn Session
Newborn Sessions are best done in the first two weeks after baby is born.
- Planned C-Section: Once your date is confirmed, we’ll schedule your newborn session for about 7 days after birth.
- Natural Birth: We’ll pencil in your due date and, once baby arrives, you can contact me to confirm. Sessions are usually held around 7 days after birth.

These are simple guidelines to help you feel confident and comfortable during your shoot. I have a selection of gowns, fabrics, and chiffon wraps available, so please don’t worry if you don’t have everything listed.

- All image editing is at the photographer’s discretion. Additional or specific editing requests may incur an extra fee per image.
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
- The selection of images for delivery is at the photographer’s discretion.
- Editing of images typically takes maximum 3 weeks from the date of the photoshoot.
- Please notify the photographer if you do not wish for your images to be shared on social media. By default, a sneak peek may be shared online.
- A deposit is required to secure your booking.
- The balance of your session fee is due on the day of the photoshoot unless otherwise arranged.
- No images will be released until full payment has been received.
- The photographer reserves the right to use images taken during the session for promotional and advertising purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding their booking and any special requests.
- The photographer is not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be communicated in advance. Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the package and notice period.
- Clients must ensure the safety and well-being of children or pets during sessions; the photographer is not liable for accidents during the shoot.
- Session times cannot always be extended for late arrivals; the session will end as scheduled.
- Clients are responsible for any fees or permissions associated with shooting at private or public locations.
